We are working extremely hard preparing for the Smarter Balanced test in April.
In Math, 5th graders learned about fractions, decimals, and percents.
Congrats to Alexa Sekercak, Justin Baldwin, Shelby Cobb, Zoie Wade, and Arianna Westfall for complete at least 50% syllabus progress in ST Math. Alexa is now over 60%.
Special congratulations to Pauline Young for representing our class at Math Field day and to Alexa Sekercak for representing our class at the Kanawha County Spelling Bee.
Our reading selections recently have been focusing on the Revolutionary War. Several of our 5th graders have received scores of at least 90% on recent quizzes in Reading.
We had a good time learning about immigration and how immigrants made a huge difference in the lives of all Americans.
Our Project Based Learning subject, Safety at Bridge, is starting to come together.
Our students were able to meet with the counselors from EMS and 3 of the 8th graders. They discussed what they will encounter next year. Our students were also able to ask question about things that were on their mind concerning 6th grade.
